Arg, I wrote a whole response and then Medium randomly refreshed the page (sooo frustrating!). I'm thinking it needs it's own piece to do it justice anyway. Suffice it to say, I *loved* the topics it is tackling and they are *important*. Many claps for the justified venting of anger and call for empowerment instead of victimhood. But I have some real concerns here about making progress and changes when the assumptive interpretations of acts like opening a door or help carry something are looked at as ipso facto rude victimization. Context and intent are critical. "Hey little lady, let me help" unasked for insistence is different from me opening the door for a friend (male or female), if that makes sense? Thanks for sharing. More to be said on this topic and some healthy conversation! Many claps!
