Hi Megan! I’m pretty sure that was part of the joke, and to be fair I wasn’t sure either until she followed it with the part about “ok it was really a trust fund.” So yeah this fictional Karen is unquestionably privileged, and yes it still sounds really familiar…like an approximation of something many of us have actually heard said 😟. It’s a tribute to Christine’s clever comic voice that it’s both hilarious and sadly real.
