I agree this article is awful, but not for the reasons you cite. I applaud your intentions, but please seek to understand something before making sweeping proclamations like this, especially about intimate behavior between consenting adults.

The DDLG dynamic I have with my partner doesn't signify anything but the fact that we are kinky and like to role-play. Incest kink has nothing to do it for us personally, but so what if it did? There is little evidence of correlation, much less causality, between mental disorders or child abuse and DDLG--or any BDSM or role-play kink. I don't think we make progress on the issue by scapegoating communities of kinky people.

Forgive the tangent, but it reminds me of well-meaning folks legitimately trying to fight child trafficking by supporting FOSTA/SESTA who end up marginalizing sex workers en masse instead.

I hope this landed as a gently and respectfully offered opposing viewpoint as intended. Thank you for considering my response.
