Despite how it may strike you, Alexandra is making an intellectual argument, and right or wrong, it is one shared by an abundance of academic thinkers across the world. Dismissing it as drivel and hate is hyperbolic and doesn’t address the arguments put forward. If something in the article strikes you as unfair and fundamentally wrong, explore that in your response and why. That’s furthering the debate instead of devolving into name-calling (where she joined you in her reply, sadly but understandably). To do less only supports the charge of knee jerk defensiveness.
