There will always be folks who manipulate and deceive to get what they want (and I would say it is often just what they *think* they want), and folks who will make an effort to be honest and direct, even at the risk of rejection. As with most things, success I think starts with knowing oneself.
And a big thumbs up for the Radical Honesty reference. It’s a fantastic read and I find that memorable parts of the book have stuck with me, and come to mind when life tempts you to take an easier route.
