Men and women are equal, in term of their value as beings. *And* they are laboring under systems of unequal privilege and protections. These things can both be true. Your responsibility, should you choose to be responsible, is to at least try to understand this, or if you still differ that these things exist and that as a beneficiary that you have any responsibility towards fixing them, at least have an empathetic ear to listen why others feel so strongly (and to me, convincingly) that they do exist. Does that not seem like a reasonable expectation?
