Ooo lube is a favorite topic. I love it all, from high quality silicone to plant-based oils to saliva to seaweed-based gel. Even conditioner can work in a pinch (though I’d stick to non-penetrative fun). There’s just something deliciously sensual about the slipping and sliding along the body of a playmate. I’d be remiss if I failed to mention one of my favorites: grapeseed oil. It is naturally antimicrobial, antifungal, and anti-inflammatory…win…and with a pH level around 4, it is in line with that of the vagina. On the topic of coconut oil: I’ve read of the potential to irritate some women due to its rather alkaline pH of 7, though I haven’t run into that issue. There are coconut oil based lubes made specifically for the purpose that fix the pH issue. If I’m a guy suggesting sex lubes that won’t risk unintended consequences, I’m sticking with the certifiably safe slick stuff.
