I personally got a little lost in the story about Betty. I understood the picture of her challenges, but not how she didn't quit quietly, or the significance of her decision to "stay in her lane" to the story. I hope that comes across as gentle feedback from a well-wisher. Though maybe you are planning a Part 2 and this was just leaving a reader wanting more (though I would spell that out if so)?
