This is an evocative, strongly voiced, well-written piece, Nicole. I enjoyed every word (and happy to say so despite my disagreement with your response to another author's piece). The fetishization of wealth and obsequiousness to corporations is staggeringly callous when compared to the real suffering of the bulk of humanity (in so-called 1st world countries alone, not to mention the remainder of the world). I'd like to read more of your work.
