You’ve voiced some of what I was thinking too, Susan (and Yael’s response is exactly how I assumed she was thinking). I appreciate that you didn’t take the low road of scorn and cliche. There is an entire feminine population that are equally committed to aggressive conservativism — and equally blind to patriarchal excess. Seeking to understand it with an open mind and heart will be essential to moving past it IMO.
